Greetings from the PTO,
We welcome you to the 2010-2011 Saltonstall School year. As your PTO it is our mission to create a spirit of welcome and encourage communication throughout our school community by providing resources needed to enhance classroom education; and work together using PRIDE: Effort, Caring, Teamwork and Responsibility
The Saltonstall PTO is made up of our school's family, friends, and staff. Throughout the year we help to find, create, receive and offer volunteer and financial support to our school community. This includes aiding teachers with classroom support, volunteering for school events, fundraising and any other school activities where our support is needed.
We have a year full of events and activities to plan. It's our sincere hope that you and your family will be part of the process. Idea's and suggestions are always welcome. We hope that you bring some of your enthusiasm and attend PTO Meetings. Typically, we meet the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm in the IMC (aka the Library.) We'd love to hear from you so save these dates:
- October 12, November 9, Dec 14, January 11, February 8, March 8, April 12, May 10, June 14, and July 12th.
Please join us for our Orientation Night on September 21 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the school auditorium. All are welcome and new families are encouraged to attend. During this interactive overview of the school year, you will be introduced to traditions that are unique to Saltonstall; learn about Friday Club leadership and how it benefits your child, find out about PTO sponsored events and how you can be involved and learn more about the special community that makes up our Saltonstall family.
